Dear Colleagues,

I would like to personally welcome each of you to the 8th Meeting of the International Society of Hydrocephalus and Cerebrospinal fluid Disorders, to take place in Cartagena, Colombia from 8 – 10 October 2016.

Cartagena is a fantastic and romantic city on the Caribbean, that guards the secrets of history in its balconies and old buildings, surrounded by narrow cobbled stones, with a pleasant weather all year round. This place was the door from the old continent to South America.

In the last years Cartagena has hosted many important political meetings, medical conferences, music movie festivals, making it an attractive safe place to visit. I can guarantee it will be a unique experience taking into account that this city is a world cultural Heritage.

It was here in Colombia where Normal pressure Hydrocephalus was first described, by Dr. Salomón Hakim. I would like to make an invitation to my colleagues around the world, to join us and share with us all their knowledge in cerebrospinal fluid disorders. We will have the experts in this topic, exposing the latest advances in the diagnosis and treatment of these pathologies. We will also present the results of the most recent investigations in CSF dynamics which are new to everyone.

All of you will have the opportunity to discover the caribbean environment, Cartagena´s fascinating old wall city, which will make of this trip a unique and unforgettable experience, that you will never forget. The only risk is you wanting to stay.

Hope to see you all in Cartagena, and let us host you as Colombians do!

We look forward to seeing you in Cartagena.

Best Regards,

Fernando Hakim
Hydrocephalus 2016 President

Apreciados Colegas,

Atentamente,

Fernando Hakim
Hydrocephalus 2016 Presidente
