Lecture Title: Dynamic intracranial compliance to better understand NPH
In 2024, Anne Benninghaus received her Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Medical Engineering from RWTH Aachen University, Germany. She has been involved in the modeling of CSF dynamics for over a decade. Anne currently works as a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Medical Engineering at RWTH Aachen University, where she is the team leader for “CSF Biomechanics”. Her research focuses on in vitro modeling of CSF dynamics to investigate and understand the underlying fluid mechanics, especially with regard to the etiology of normal pressure hydrocephalus and the testing of alternative therapy options.
