Dr Richard Edwards

Richard Edwards is a Consultant Neurosurgeon in the Departments of Neurosurgery at Bristol Royal Hospital for Children and at Southmead Hospital, Bristol, and the Regional Training Program Director for Neurosurgery. He is the current Chair of the UK CSF Disorders Group of the Society of British Neurological Surgeons. He is a member of the Adult Hydrocephalus Clinical Research Network (AHCRN). He graduated in 1994 from Imperial College, University of London and completed his neurosurgical training in London, Bristol and Toronto. In 2002 he was awarded the Royal College of Surgeons Mansell Research Fellowship. In 2003 he was awarded the Vesalius Prize by the AANS. His research interests include neuroendoscopy, diagnostic testing and clinical trials in idiopathic Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus, and ICP monitoring. He is on the Editorial Board of “World Neurosurgery”.
