Llewellyn Padayachy is currently full clinical Professor and Head of Department: Neurosurgery, University of Pretoria, Chief Specialist at the Steve Biko Academic Hospital.
Professor Padayachy is internationally recognized for his expertise in minimally invasive surgical techniques in pediatric brain tumor and hydrocephalus surgery, well as for pioneering non-invasive diagnostic techniques in detecting raised intracranial pressure (ICP) in children. He is an NRF rated scientist, has published extensively in high impact scientific journals, is the recipient of several prestigious scientific awards and is frequently an invited speaker at national and international neurosurgery conferences. He also serves as a reviewer for several prestigious international medical journals and has been elected to executive roles on various international neurosurgery societies.
