Certified Neurosurgeon since 2004 graduated from Department of Neurosurgery, Charité Universitaetsmedizin, Berlin, Germany.
Medical education completed 1998, attending medical schools in Tübingen, Vienna and Berlin with internships at Cornell Medical School (New York Hospital and Sloan Kattering Cancer Center), New York and Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, USA. Venia legendi in 2007. Research fellowship and clinical observership in 2007 at Pediatric Neurosurgery, Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions, Baltimore, USA.
Lead of the Pediatric Neurosurgical Panel of the German pediatric brain tumor network (HIT). Pediatric Neurosurgery Section Co-Chair of the German Neurosurgical Society (DGNC). Executive Board member of the ISPN, ESPN and IFNE. Editorial board member of Child’s Nervous System and Pediatric Neurosurgery. Former Neurosurgical Co-Chair of the eSIOP brain tumor group 2018-2022. Former Representative of the Section “Endoscopic Neurosurgery, Neuronavigation and Intraoperative Imaging” of the DGNC, 2011-2018.
Published more than 178 PubMed listed papers and additional book chapters. Co-Founder of the Association of Neuroesthetics. Invited Speaker and organizer at numerous international conferences and neurosurgical courses.
