Main interests: cerebrovascular surgery, neuro-oncology, ventricular and skull base endoscopy for minimally invasive surgery.

Participant of several courses and congresses, and speaker in about 50 of them. Ad hoc reviewer for about 15 journals. First surgeon in about 2000 operations. Prize for MD thesis, Scropetta Award in 2006 in Trieste, Italy. Bartolazzi Award delivered by the Italian Society of Neurosurgery (SINch) in 2016. “Paladini Italiani della Salute” Award, Presidency of Italian Council of Ministries, 2021 and 2024.
